SHIFTER Agency's team is made up of former Parliament Hill staffers who have worked in communications, operations and legislative/policy assistance in both the House of Commons and Senate of Canada. SHIFTER Agency designed a NationBuilder website for federal nomination candidate Denise Siele and formed part of her campaign team. We also developed key messaging videos, and provided photo and graphic design services, including social media images and standing banners, throughout the campaign.

SHIFTER Agency founder, Kevin Bourne, accompanied Orim Meikle to the CP24 studios in downtown Toronto while he served as a guest/commentator during the Toronto municipal elections. Kevin prepared policy research and key messaging prior to the media appearance.

SERVICES: Campaign (NationBuilder) website design, digital campaign support


SHIFTER Agency co-founder, Kevin Bourne, worked with CAUT across multiple campaigns as a Digital Specialist, creating social media assets and creating and managing NationBuilder websites for their Fair Employment, Fair Copyright and Get Science Right campaigns, the latter of which successfully lobbied the government for $4 billion towards scientific research in the 2018 budget.

SHIFTER Agency developed the marketing and brand strategies and completed the rebrand for the Artpreneur conference hosted by Arts Network Ottawa, the City of Ottawa, and Invest Ottawa. The new branding is vibrant yet professional. The new tagline, "Artists who mean business", reflects the desired outcome of the event―the building of a community. The strategy included an Instagram strategy with mock posts, proposed taglines, and captions. The Arts Network Ottawa staff used the strategy and branding to guide all visual elements of the conference.

SHIFTER Agency is an official graphic design supplier to the National Gallery of Canada. We recently completed a rushed project for the gallery, designing a 30+ slide corporate presentation with a two day turnaround in time for an important stakeholder meeting.

Invest Ottawa hired SHIFTER Agency to help market their Digital Main Street program supporting local small businesses. The campaign included running a series of sponsored posts on our media platform and creating written content for Invest Ottawa's blog. SHIFTER Agency's affiliate link received the second highest engagement out of the 100+ partners in their MDS Ambassador program. Invest Ottawa then rehired for a three month project to write article series for their blog around Black History Month, Asian Heritage Month, and National Indigenous History Month.

SERVICES: Video marketing campaign


SHIFTER Agency was hired by the Kanata North Business Association, Canada's largest tech park, to shoot and edit a video marketing campaign. The project, a partnership with Invest Ottawa and funded by the Government of Ontario, included our team shooting 10 content marketing videos in three weeks highlighting 10 different business in the tech park based on strict criteria from both Invest Ottawa and the Government of Ontario.
